What It Means To Be A Green Pressure Washing Company in Charlotte

In today’s environmentally conscious society, many local companies are scrambling to jump on the green bandwagon.  Every bit helps and those that truly make an effort to reduce waste, use biodegradable products, and reduce their carbon footprint should be commended for their actions whether it be a pressure washing company, baker, or candlestick maker.

There are, however, many pitfalls in this surge of environmental concern.  Many companies falsely claim to be green to capitalize on the trend only to benefit their bottom line by trying to outwit the public they serve.  Not only does this isolate the consumer by insulting their intelligence, but it destroys the integrity of the industry.  This is particularly evident in the pressure washing industry.

Pressure washing is an industry that is relatively easy to become involved in.  It is an industry plagued by unknowledgeable operators that are attracted to the low start up costs and high income potential.  They do not belong to professional organizations, participate in industry round table events, or educate themselves on the latest products, techniques, and trends that help keep our customers investments safe and clean.  These same folks will sometimes use the “green” angle to help gain new customers that are legitimately concerned about the environment.

Professional pressure washing companies that claim to be “green” should use water saving equipment, biodegradable chemicals, and have the ability to reclaim and reuse their waste water.  All of this should be coupled with the proper education on how to use the equipment and cleansers properly.  As a consumer it is important to do your research by trying to find companies that are knowledgeable in their field, not knowledgeable on the art of tricking potential customers.
